Damson Vodka, Bullace Vodka (probably not much diff). Banana Vodka and Sloe Gin. Thought I might try some Coffee Liqueur aswell this year.

Did apricot liqueur today and some chocolate mint gin. House smells fantastic! And hopefully we will have some boozy chocolate covered apricots to munch on Xmas aswell.

Apple wine now in the demi-john
If it behaves anything like the rhubarb wine, it should be drinkable in three weeks or so

Sounds good Q! My mint stuff takes about 10 days....probably end up tasting like mouthwash, but hey ho!
|
Quixote
|
Oooohhhh..........mint wine!!? Can you post the recipe? Please?
I've loads of the stuff, and that would really help to clear it out

Not mint wine Q its mint gin! Fill kilner one third with chocolate mint leaves tightly packed. Top up to half with sugar and fill with gin. Fresh minty breath here we come! I think it may have worked better with vodka as gin has a slightly medicinal taste to it anyway. Another triumph by the guntheranderson liqueur directory.

I have a load of apples at my disposal again this year tomorrow I will make some wine with them, I also fancy making more plum wine, also read a recipe for banana wine might try and get about 9 pounds of over ripe ones tomorrow or Saturday

Suggest you try the local veg. shop/market stall just before closing Saturday. It's the unsaleable ones you want and their only going to bin 'em.

Banana wine is the best - I love the way it starts off as a grey slimy disgusting mess you can't believe is going anywhere - & you end up wishing you'd made 20 gallons more

Interesting but very accurate description D3.
Wonder how many gallons have "Gorn Down the Plug 'ole" because of the, must have gone wrong, feeling?

Right then load of apples piled in to a 5 gallon bucket any old how, I thimk this time round I'll strain the liquid off into another bucket before syphoning into dei jon's make the job easier, I've only tried this with rice but can I reuse the apples to make another batch with something else mixed in?

Well drowning all sorrows with a vast amount of newly decanted mint gin tonight and I must say it takes the edge off. Very nice, not at all mouthwashy like I thought just very sweet and very strong. Just what I need.

It's me first year at trying them things ..

It should be fun and hopefully some of it will be drinkable ...
