hi anyone herd of one of these
NORTH-WESTERN FLY ROD BLANK 10FT-6 LINES 6 TO 8
i got it of ebay from a real nice chap that has given up rod building
i am going to have a go at building it myself but the only other rod i have done is a beach caster so any info would be cool as i have not yet got any rings for it

Hello mate,
never heard of the blank, but for a 10ft heavy line rod, I'd go for normal rings as opposed to the 'snake rings'. In fact I discounted rods without proper rings wehn choosing my 10 foot rod. Only my preference though, I've got an 8.5 footer with snake rings which casts great but with the heavier lines I prefer lined rings. |
