We are just getting our mobile Fish & Chip Van on the road after a major refurbishment and the base vehicle is a 20 yr old Leyland Daf 200-very slow but an advantage of the old technology is that we can use waste chip pan oil 50% mix in the diesel tank. I hasten to add that we filter the oil after every use using a special machine which removes even water from the oil and extends its life.
Veg Oil is marginally cheaper than diesel now but has rocketed in the last 6 months as more is going for biofuel.
When the Daf expires I shall just transfer the box rear complete and self contained unit to another base vehicle-probably an LT35.
Nick
